Our Consular network in Greece

Our consular network in Greece is responsible for helping British citizens who face serious difficulties such as hospitalisation, arrest or death of a family member. We have five permanently staffed Consulates in Corfu, Crete, Rhodes, Thessaloniki and Zakynthos, all supervised by the Consul who is based in Athens. We also have honorary Consuls in Patras and Syros.

Office hours

The Consular Section of the British Embassy in Athens is open to the public. Please note that the Visa Section and the Passport Section have different working hours. Please check our Office working hours page for specific information.

Consulates around Greece are open to the public from Monday to Friday between 08.30hrs and 13.00hrs.

Emergency and out of hours contact

The Embassy and all Consulates in Greece have an English-speaking Duty Officer who is available for help and advice regarding consular emergencies out of office hours.
