Rape and sexual assault

Sexual assault is a very traumatic experience whenever and wherever it happens, but the trauma can be made more difficult to deal with when it happens abroad.

Child abduction

International parental child abduction is a human rights issue and one that we take very seriously. We appreciate the distress that child abduction and the difficulties obtaining access can cause to both the child and left-behind parent.

Missing persons

When a relative or friend goes missing abroad it can be very distressing and you feel at a loss as to what to do about it.

If you have no money

British Consulates do not have a loaning facility. If you need funds, you will need to ask a relative, friend or UK employer etc to arrange a money transfer to a bank in Greece.
