Please note: The Consular death registration certificate will not include a cause of death as many Greek certificates do not include this detail.
We aim to complete this service within 3 working days from the receipt of a properly completed application. All original documentation you submit will be returned to you. There is no time limit before which the registration must be effected. Copies are sent to the General Registry Office at Southport whilst the original register is kept at the Embassy in Athens for further copies if required. After the current year the registration copies can only be obtained from the General Register Office in the UK.
