Why trade with Greece

Strong historical, business and educational links between UK and Greece. Over two million tourists visit Greece every year and British Universities are a very popular destination for Greek students.

The British exporter is generally welcome in the market. Perception of EU British products being of good quality. Most British multinationals and well-known High Street names are present in the Greek market.

In 1981 Greece joined the EU; it became the 12th member of the Eurozone in 2001. Local companies prefer quotes in Euro, which simplifies transactions.

Greece is the oldest EU member in South East Europe. Greek companies have a strong presence in the region.

Most local companies are English-speaking.
